Extra Credit
). A man was pushed onto the tracks of the subway by a panhandler and was unable to get out, so he was killed by the subway. The photographer of this image was able to catch this image because he himself could not lift the man up, so he started using his flash to make the train stop.
). The photographer was able to take the photo because he was using the flash as a warning signal to the subway going towards the man on the tracks.
). I think the photographer shouldn't have taken this photo because it's really easy for people to judge this man by taking this horrid image. He says he was running around trying to get help, but this image turned out so good that it makes it look like he was just trying to get a good image.
). I don't think the photographer did the best thing that he could because I think he could've actually helped the man on the tracks by getting OTHER people to help. I doubt he was the only one down in the subway, so he could have gotten someone else help.
). Even though this is a horrid image, I do think it makes a good magazine cover. People are intreged by death situations and it will probably cause someone to pick up this magazine.
). Capturing images is more important to photojournalists because it tells better stories and it's their whole career.
). I don't think so because it's their job to catch images of events that are happening in the world and they shouldn't be the main subject of the image because they're suppose to be the one's capturing the photos.
). No, because if it's a life or death situation they should save a life before putting their career first. It's better having a clean conscious then a dirty conscious of not saving someone's life.
). I think the (first quote) person who said that the age we live in is more about taking photos has the biggest point. Our generation today is all of technology and taking photos, we do things that aren't really important, when we could've done something beneficial.
