Tales by Light

Season 2: Episode 3

1) The photographer featured in this episode is named Eric Cheng. Eric Cheng is an underwater photographer who likes to shoot pictures of "predators."

2) I really liked this episode because it really shows that being a photographer isn't an easy job. The episode shows Cheng having to wait hours and travel around the river in order to find one anaconda. Once he spotted the anaconda he had to keep a close eye on it, so he wouldn't lose the subject. Then, when the anaconda went into the water he went as well following it everywhere it went.

3) In this episode I actually learned that anacondas swim in rivers, I had not known that before this episode. Besides that, I learned that any kind of photography involving wildlife takes time, it could take hours for the photographer to even find their subject. I also learned that there are animals that seem scary, but are actually very beautiful and aren't vicious unless messed with.

4) This episode takes place in Brazil which to me is very unique. I personally love the location because Brazil is a beautiful place and I would love to take pictures there if I could. The exotic life in Brazil is also very fascinating and I think it would be very fun and would give me such an amazing experience with the wild life.

5) This work is important because it shows that not all animals are vicious creatures. Eric Cheng gets up close to anacondas and isn't afraid because he thinks they're beautiful creatures. This episode goes to show that "predators" are not animals to be afraid of, but to be admired. All animals are beautiful and magnificent in their own way.

Season 3: Episode 4

1) The photographer featured in this episode is the same as last episode named Eric Cheng. Once again his main focus is to shoot aquatic animals that are feared by people.

2) I liked this episode because I was very fond of the fact that the photographer was shooting in the Bahamas. Compared to last episode I liked this one better because everything in the Bahamas amuses since it is so beautiful. To me, Cheng shooting pictures of sharks is inspiring because I'm personally terrified of sharks based off of everything I've heard about them, but he truly shows that they are not so bad.

3) In this episode I learned that not all sharks are dangerous. Growing up I always had the view of sharks being dangerous predators that would eat me if I swam in the ocean. This episode gives me whole other view on sharks and that they could be fun to shoot once you're in the ocean.

4) This episode takes place in the Bahamas. I've always wanted to go to the Bahamas because all the pictures I've seen are so beautiful. It be an amazing experience to have the opportunity to shoot in the Bahamas especially if it was underwater because there are so many creatures in the ocean by the Bahamas.

5) This work is important to the public because it shows that not all tiger sharks are vicious. Most people have the mindset that all sharks are dangerous and aggressive animals that live in the ocean. Sharks have been portrayed as being the predator in many shows, movies and more, but this photographer proves people's beliefs wrong.
