Great B&W Photographers Part 3
1. The thing that caught my eye the most was that the photos I came across, by John Gutmann, had a creepy feel to most of them. I chose these photos because I love creepy things and these photos drew me into wanting to see more.
2. I see two people, about the same height standing wearing nun outfits. In the front they're wearing masks, making their identities unknown. The person on the right is facing the ferris wheel.
I smell popcorn and cotton candy filling the air. The air is sweet-like and butter from the popcorn is distinct. It draws me in, wanting to find this source of popcorn.
I hear the soft lullaby-like music playing from the ferris wheel. I can hear children screaming on rides and parents yelling at their children to not get ahead of them. And friends gossiping to each other about the boys they like.
I taste the air filled with water. The muggy air enters my mouth. I feel refreshed.
I feel the sky darken, it's not so hot anymore. Little drops of water fall on my shoulder. I feel a rush of cool wind heading it's way to the carnival.
I see people coming back from the carnival I was just attending. Three people catch my eye walking on the streets. They're all wearing masks. One is tall, standing in the middle with two shorter people standing next to him.
I smell smoke from afar filling my nose. I can smell the awful sewage in the streets. The smell is strong and makes me want to gag.
I hear the chatter of small groups of people walking. I can hear the honking of cars 10 blocks away. Footsteps are heard from around my sides, people are in a rush to leave.
I taste the city. The fumes of the air enter me. I can taste the smoke from factories in my mouth and the street food.
I feel a soft breeze, sending chills down my spine. The weather is cold. I want to wrap up in the blanket or drink some hot coffee to warm me up.
3). I would like to make a poster about my photographer. I want to be able to share his photos on something that everyone can look at. I also want to give information about the meaning behind the photos John Gutmann took. I would lay out the poster by putting a picture taken by him and writing facts or paragraph about the significance of the photo.
