Nut Graf

Nut graf is a term used in journalism when writing a story. This term is spelled "Nut graf" because it's saying that the story should be summarized in a small "nutshell," not too long and not too short. A nut graf is one paragraph that helps the story transition from the first paragraph and helps add details that connect to the whole story.
This paragraph gives addition details to help support the main paragraph. If left out in the first, the who, what, when, where, why, and how should all be answered by the end of the nut graf. It also helps explain why this story is important. It helps to keep the story clean without adding too much to the story overall.
