Academic Shoot Reflection and Critique

1. Challenges I faced during this photo shoot was framing, lighting and angles. Framing was the hardest out of all of them because I didn't know what to use for a frame.
2. I was focused on making the photos focused because I wanted the subjects to be prominent and for them to pop out at you, like the picture of the paintbrushes.
3. If I could go back, I would definitely shoot photos with more lighting and angling the camera the right way.
4. I think I would keep where I put the subjects in my photo because for the most part they were in the center, or right place.
5. I think the rule of simplicity will be the easiest because it was easy for me during the academic shoot to find subjects that would fit in the rule of simplicity.
6. I think framing is the hardest rule to use, you have to find the right object to be your frame because framing only works with certain spots or objects.
7. I understand framing the least. I have trouble with framing the most because I don't know the best ways to capture images with a frame and seeing more examples may help me with this problem.

• Taylor did really good with make her pictures and subjects focused. Taylor also did a good job with following the different rules.
• The only thing I think Taylor could improve on is making sure to not cut the subjects or objects off the photo.
